What Do You Call a Plurk Party?
The more I think about it, the more I think that Plurk Parties are a really good idea. I mean by that parties at which Plurkers gather non-virtually in the same place for some face time. So far, the only barrier that I can see is the the name “Plurk Party” sucks. Our society is obsessed with cute names and “Plurk Party is never going to get it in that area. We need something catchy.
One favorite current phrase is “Meet-Up” but it doesn’t have the same ring to it when you say “Plurk-Up.” When I asked on line I got some fair answers, like “Plurkathon” although that sounds like you would need Jerry Lewis for it. Similarly, Plurkival, doesn’t quite get it. I am really hoping that one of our fellow Plurkers has a better idea than these!
We had some killer local, regional, and national parties in the eighties based on the CompuServe CB simulator, including a number of weddings. I went to CompuServe parties all over the country during that period and it was great meeting the people that you talked to on line, even if that hot blond gymnast turned out to be a bald guy from Toledo. We can do this if only we had a name!
I’m KDFrawg on Plurk. If you see me, give me your suggestion! Or leave it as a comment.

How about a Plurk-in? I like Plurkfest too. Or Plurkapalooza? Or Plurkbash?
My daughter woke up in the middle of the night so after I checked on her I of course had to check the Plurkiverse.:)

I never really worried about a cute name for it. We just do it.

I asked the same question on Plurk a few days back, but apparently didn’t get much exposure.

I think PlurkUp works, but I’m interested to hear all of the other suggestions.
